** VETERINARIANS: **
Dr. Lana Holcomb
Dr. Holcomb is the owner of Montezuma Veterinary Services and is our main surgeon. She grew up in Tucson, Arizona and from an early age had a bond with any and all types of animals from dogs, cats, birds to snakes, lizards and small furry pocket pets. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and was soon accepted into veterinary school at Louisiana State University. She graduated from LSU in 2005 and joined the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and served three years active duty and five years in the reserves. Dr. Holcomb provided medical care for military working dogs, border patrol dogs, and owned pets of military families. In 2008, she worked at an emergency clinic in Las Vegas and gained valuable experience in all types of emergency veterinary care and surgery. To be closer to her family, she moved back to Arizona and worked as the Medical Director at the Second Chance Center for Animals in Flagstaff three years before moving to Camp Verde in hopes of purchasing a clinic. In 2013, Dr. Holcomb purchased Montezuma Veterinary Services and is thrilled to be able to provide high quality veterinary care to the community of Camp Verde and surroundings. Although Dr. Holcomb is not a specialist, she is one of the only small-animal veterinarians in Northern Arizona that performs orthopedic surgeries- such as, FHO, Torn Cruciate Repairs, Amputation. She also performs ultrasound screenings. Dr. Holcomb has a special interest in helping the local animal rescues and shelters and provides discounted veterinary care to homeless animals in need. She spends her spare time with her daughter Kenady and their furry friends. She enjoys traveling and amusement parks!
